Turn Off Windows Vista Prompt Screen (UAC - Or UCA!)

November 10, 2007 1:41 am whitey Computing

This artical informs you how to Disable (turn off) the Windows UAC (or UCA!) (User Account Control) on Windows Vista. The Windows Vista Prompt Screen is really annoying. (When I first wrote this blog I called it the UCA - and the search engines picked it up so I’m leaving this here.)

But please note - this is a Windows security feature. You should only disable this if you are an administrator.

Open Control Panel, and in the search bar type “user account” and then click on the “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off” Click continue (this might the be last time you see this prompt!) Then uncheck the box and click OK. Then choose whether you want to restart now or later.

Done!
